Every day from early morning hunter goes with a guide to hunt by foot for full day. Hunting method is stalking. Shooting distance is 250-300 m.
Best time of hunt is August 15 – September 15. Air temperature at this period is +15 - +20C. There are mosquitoes at day time.
Accommodation is in tents. We make fly-camps in case sheep are far from main camp. Transfer is through Moscow to Petropavlovsk Kamchatsky (8 hrs flight), then 7 hrs driving to Esso (Kozirevsk), then 1-1,5 hrs by helicopter.
Representative accompanies client during all the trip. Average trophy size varies from 80 cm to 95 cm (32 in.- 37 in.). The largest from this area was 43". After Sheep hunt you can hunt for Bear coming lower altitude.
KAMCHATKA BEAR HUNT
Kamchatka Bear can be hunted in Spring (April 27 – May 15) and in Fall (August 15 – October 20). Spring is best time if you want only Bear trophy. You can hunt several Bears, there is no limitation.
Fall is good if you want to make combo hunt Sheep + Bear or Moose + Bear or enjoy salmon fishing the same time. In Spring we use snow mobiles. Guide is driving and client is sitting behind in a sledge. This method allows to cover big distance every day. There is a lot of snow in May, but first part of a day is better to use because snow is tuff. Hunter can see Bear far away on white snow, go behind a Bear and measure it's tracks to see how big is size. Hide of Bear is the best quality in Spring. In Fall method of hunt is waiting for Bear in hidden place close a river where Bear comes to fish salmon in the evening, on the fields where Bear is feeding berries.
